The controller is the problem
An SSD's controller scatters your data across chips and keeps the map in its own memory. When the controller fails, the map goes with it.
TRIM erases deleted files for good
On a healthy SSD, deleted files are wiped within minutes by the TRIM command. Deleted-file recovery is rarely possible on an SSD.
Encryption is always on
Most modern SSDs encrypt everything by default. Recovery means working with the controller, not around it.
What that means for you
If your SSD is not detected, stop. Do not run firmware updates or diagnostic tools. Bring it in for a free diagnosis.
