Water itself rarely kills a phone. Electricity flowing through wet circuits does. Switch the phone off and do not charge it.
Skip the rice
Rice does not pull water out of a sealed phone. It does leave starch dust in the ports. Place the phone in a dry, open space instead and bring it to us the same day if you can. Corrosion starts within hours.
